An online presence

An online presence

June 2026

Okay, I’m a week out from moving.

A week!!

Sent the kid off to summer ROTC training, and it’s time to pull up my leggings and get shit done. But I had to hop on real quick to tell you about my progress. I’m no stranger to websites. I’ve had a part-time online presence in my other life for many years, especially when COVID hit.

But create something for an author presence, you say? How the hell do I do that?

Today I secured a domain name for cheap…like under ten bucks per year cheap. Next step: get a real email. No Yahoo, no Gmail (I still know some Hotmailers out there—you know who you are), a real deal email. [Insert whine.] But do I have to? Yes, self, you do. Done. Step three? Choose an email host and website or landing page (thought I’d use one that could do both, but the email host’s webpage graphics were lacking). Check. I grabbed the Instagram handle today, too.

Oh, I’m supposed to be working on my moving to-do list? Na.

Ok, f—. I’ll do that now.
